Hello, hallo! As you probably know, we have recently come back from the capital city of Germany – Berlin. We spent three days there. Keep reading to find more & see our photos!
We set out on Friday morning from Prague to be in Berlin before the lunch time. As we booked our room in ibis Berlin City Potsdamer Platz hotel in advance and the check-in was to be at 3 p.m., we decided to discover the town just as we arrived. Our first steps led to the Kurfürstendamm and around the ZOO. We went through the whole Großer Tiergarten to the place where we stayed – Anhalter Str..
The first morning in Berlin was quite chilly. However we set off early in order to see as many sights as possible. First of all we got on the U-bahn (their underground) and got off at the Alexanderplatz, the centre of communist part of Berlin before ‘89. There is e.g. a quite popular market called Hackescher Markt or the TV tower so called Fernsehturm around. We also walked around the Berlin Wall or thru the Museuminsel. The buildings like German Chancellery Bundseskanzleramt or the seat of the Parliament Reichstag Building Reichstagsgebäude were terrific. And so was the Brandenburger Tor! Take a look, keep reading.
On the very last day we tried to see the rest of the important sightseeings. But first of all, we needed a perfect breakfast. Well, let’s be honest, we needed a brunch. As you probably know, we chose Spreegold (read more here). It was delicious and we look forward to coming back there in the future. Our last photos are right here. Thank you, Berlin, we love you. xxx
